To celebrate Easter this year, chocolate maker Cadbury's is launching a Blue Cheese Chocolate Easter egg.
Cadbury's says the Irish love chocolate and our cheese more than most - and this love will be combined in their new product.
Cadbury is launching the limited edition egg for the month of Easter, which will only be available in Ireland.
"As a discerning foodie, you've probably tried liqueur chocolates, chocolate with chilli, Cadbury Marvellous Creations chocolate with jelly popping candy, cola bottles and pretzels – and more" the company said in a statement.
"Well now it’s time to challenge your taste buds even further with the Cadbury Dairy Milk 'Blue Cheese Chocolate' Easter egg".
It says the off-beat food pairing has already been achieved with great success in France – as a dessert called ‘Coulant’ by famous Chef Michel Bras
While more recently it has been developed in a different form by innovative chef, Heston Blumenthal.
A medium sized Cadbury milk chocolate Easter egg is infused with the distinctively strong flavour of pasteurised Wicklow blue cheese – creating the sweet and strong taste sensation.
It is available from all leading retailers for the month of April only.
