A teenager has been charged with the murder of Cork student Cameron Blair.
20-year old Cameron Blair died after being stabbed at a house party last week.
A 17-year old - who cannot be named for legal reasons - appeared before a special sitting of Cork District Court this evening.
The teenager was formally arrested and charged at Togher Garda Station this evening.
He's charged with the murder of Cameron Blair at Bandon Road, Cork City on 16th January last.
Detective Garda Rory O'Connell told the court that after being cautioned the boy made no reply.
Solicitor Eddie Burke said there was no provision for bail and he applied for legal aid as the 17-year old isn't working.
Judge Olann Kelleher remanded him to Oberstown Detention Centre to appear at the Cork Children's Court on January 31st next.
The teenager remained silent throughout the short hearing.
