Two Canadian police officers have been shot near Edmonton in Alberta.
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police said one of the officers is in a "very grave condition" and the other is in a serious but stable condition.
Police say the officers were investigating a stolen vehicle complaint which led to an interaction with a civilian when they were shot.
The suspect was later located and police say that there is no longer any public safety threat.
It came after police said they had "every single possible resource at our disposal actively involved right now" in their attempts to find the suspect.
