Three people have been arrested after cannabis and cocaine worth €555,000 was seized in Portlaoise today.
Gardaí in the town say they responded to reports of suspicious activity in Rossvale.
A man was searched and a package containing 1kg of a substance believed to be cannabis was discovered.

The drugs had an estimated street value of €20,000.
A man in his 30s was arrested and is being held at Birr Garda Station.
Following the seizure, Laois Drugs Unit carried out at a follow-up search at a property in Portlaoise.
They discovered €500,000 worth of cannabis and €35,000 worth of cocaine, as well as other drug paraphernalia.
A man and woman - both aged in their 30s - were arrested and are currently being detained at Portlaoise Garda Station.
