A man has been arrested after cannabis worth more than €1 million was seized at Dublin Port yesterday.

Revenue Officers uncovered the 55kg of cannabis in a load of bottled water and garden supplies in a van arriving on a ferry from the UK.

A man in his 50s was arrested and is currently being detained at a Garda station in the Dublin area.

Gardaí have now sent the drugs for analysis and they said the man they have arrested can be held for up to seven days.
