Gardaí seized €3.9 million worth of cannabis in a search in North Dublin last night.
The cannabis was discovered in a vehicle in Balbriggan at 7pm last night.
Some 187 kilogrammes of cannabis herb and 30 kilogrammes of cannabis resin was seized.
One man in his twenties was arrested and is currently detained at a Garda Station in North Dublin under Section 2 of Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
He can remain in Garda custody for up to seven days.
According to Gardaí, the combined value of the drugs seized worth €3.92 million will be sent to FSI for analysis.
Investigations are ongoing and further updates will follow.
The drugs were discovered under ongoing investigations for Operation Tara targeting organised crime.
Operation Tara is an enhanced national anti-drugs strategy launched by Garda Commissioner Drew Harris in 2021.
The focus of Operation Tara is to disrupt, dismantle and prosecute drug trafficking networks at local, national and international levels.
Gardaí are investigating the importation, distribution, cultivation, production, local sale and supply of controlled drugs.
