The funeral of Captain Dara Fitzpatrick - who lost her life after Coastguard Rescue Helicopter 116 crashed off the coast of Mayo - has taken place in Glencullen, Co. Dublin.
Hundreds of mourners gathered at St Patrick's Church for the funeral, with the funeral cortege arrived at 11am and was met by an honour guard from the Coast Guard and other rescue services.
Captain Fitzpatrick's parents, four siblings, her young son Fionn, and other family members accompanied the coffin into the church.
President Michael D Higgins, Taoiseach Enda Kenny, and Minister for Transport Shane Ross are in attendance as well as Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin.
Prayers were said for Captain Fitzpatrick's fellow crew members who are still missing off the Mayo coast, and for the families of the victims:
"We pray that they will be returned to their loved ones very soon."
Poor weather conditions off the west coast are continuing to hamper the search for the three crewmen still missing.
Agencies involved in the operation say it may be some time before they can try to access the area where they believe the wreckage of the aircraft is located.
