A car and Rolex watch are among items seized in north Dublin as part of an operation targeting an organised crime gang.

The Criminal Assets Bureau conducted a search operation on Tuesday morning at an address in the Coolock area.

They were assisted by the Emergency Response Unit.

Gardaí said the target of the operation is believed to be a member of a crime gang.

A VW Golf GTI motorcar and ladies Rolex watch were seized, along with computer equipment, mobile phones and documents.

The operation is part of an on-going investigation targeting the proceeds of crime.

Officers have said this latest operation is "significant" in the context of the overall investigation.

The investigation is primarily related to the purchase of property and expenditure on refurbishment and extensions.

A second search is also being carried at a professional office in Dublin.
