Catherine Nevin is pursuing a bid to have her conviction for the murder of her husband quashed by the Supreme Court.
The 61-year-old was jailed for life 13 years ago for killing Tom Nevin at their pub, Jack White's Inn, near Brittas Bay in Co. Wicklow on March 19th 1996.
She lost an appeal in 2003 but now wants to bring her case to the highest court in the land. She is arguing that it raises points of law of exceptional public importance.
The Court of Criminal Appeal struck the case out last December because it was not in a position to proceed but her lawyers say they are now ready to go ahead with the challenge.
