AA Roadwatch is warning motorists there's a lot of frost and ice in various parts of the country today.

Extra care is needed when driving - with most roads recording temperatures below zero.

In Longford, conditions are icy on the Longford to Lanesborough Rd at Mount Dillon - motorists are advised to drive with extreme caution.

In Cork, there's very bad ice and fog on roads around Mitchelstown, Rathcormac and Fermoy - with a number of incidents already reported.

Meanwhile, on the M8 Dublin/ Cork Rd southbound, traffic is down to one lane between Junctions 11 and 12 following an accident.
