Police in Manchester have issued CCTV images of two men wanted in connection with the rape of a 14-year-old boy in the city centre.
The attack happened on June 2nd but officers have been working since then with the victim to build up a profile.
The teenager was in the Arndale Shopping Centre toilets at 5:45pm when he was approached by two men.
The men – one Asian and one White – stared at him, grabbed him by the arm and threatened him.
He was led out of the Arndale Centre and taken to nearby Debenhams store.
He was then taken in a lift upstairs to a toilet there where he was raped by the Asian man.
Detective Sergeant Liam Boden of North Manchester CID said “This young victim has been absolutely devastated by what happened to him”.
“What makes this incident doubly shocking is that he was marched across a busy part of the city centre during the late afternoon on Saturday. However, this means I am confident that shoppers may have seen the offenders either before or after the incident” he added.
Anyone with information is asked to call North Manchester police or Crimestoppers anonymously.
