A ceasefire has come into effect in Gaza after at least 34 Palestinians were killed over two days of violence.
The fighting began on Tuesday after Israel killed a senior commander of the Islamic Jihad militant group, Bahaa Abu el-Atta.
The group fired rockets into Israel in response and Israel responded with scores of airstrikes.
Palestinian officials said a seven-year-old boy and six members of a single family were among those killed in the airstrikes.
The ceasefire, brokered by Egypt, came into effect a 5:30am (3:30am Irish time) this morning.
Israel currently has no sitting Government in place after the most recent set of elections ended in deadlock.
