The family of celebrity chef Gary Rhodes says he died from bleeding on the brain.
Mr Rhodes passed away on Tuesday at the age of 59.
His family released a statement today to end what they called 'painful speculation' surrounding his death.
The statement says he was in 'happy mood' after filming on a new TV show in Dubai but collapsed and later died in hospital.
It explains: "The Rhodes family can confirm that after a successful day shooting with Rock Oyster Media for ITV here in Dubai, Gary returned home in a very happy mood for a peaceful evening with his wife Jennie.
"After dinner, Gary unfortunately collapsed in their residence and was rushed to hospital but unfortunately passed away due to subdural haematoma.
"At this time, there are no other details and the family would again request privacy around this very tragic loss and again, thank friends and family for their ongoing support at this time."
According to the UK's NHS, a subdural haematoma is a serious condition where blood collects between the skull and the surface of the brain.
Mr Rhodes was a well known TV chef, including appearances on shows such as MasterChef and Hell's Kitchen.
He opened several restaurants over the course of his career - including 'Rhodes D7' in Dublin back in 2006.
At the time of his death, he ran restaurants at two hotels in Dubai.
Several prominent celebrity chefs paid tribute to Mr Rhodes following his death earlier this week:
