Gardaí have arrested two men following a burglary in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.
Shortly after 4.00am, officers were alerted to an incident at the Weston housing estate in Lucan.
Two cars drove from the scene towards Celbridge Village, and came to a stop after crashing and entering the River Liffey at Celbridge Bridge.
Gardaí say no one was injured.
Two men, believed to be teenagers, were arrested and are being held at Lucan garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Ambulance crews from Tallaght, Nass and Dunshaughlin attended the scene.
While a unit of the Kildare fire service was also sent to the incident.
