A woman who has gone viral for charging her family to attend Christmas dinner has said see can’t see what the big deal is.
Carla Bellucci hit the headlines last week after announcing plans to charge £150 (€174) per person on December 25th.
The British blogger said the price will get family members a full Christmas spread and Champagne with dinner.
She told Lunchtime Live she decided to do it because of the high costs.
"It's a hard time, it's Christmas... So, I just suggested coming to me and paying for their Christmas Day, and it's gone viral," she said.
"I'm expecting about 19, but let's see how many actually attend; it could be like 12 or 13 because some people are away.
"If this goes well, I'll be putting the price up for New Year's Eve to £200 per person, and I'll get some entertainment in if they're really lucky."
What's on the menu?
Ms Bellucci said she will not spare any expense on the food.
"Just a traditional Christmas dinner, nice Champagne and the company of moi," she said.
"I'm going to do a nice starter, maybe get some lobster in, maybe get some turkeys and just go for the whole shebang.
"I like to do things nicely, it ain't going to be no skanky spread - it's going to be proper nice".
She said she will give her guests drink with dinner - but if they want anything extra, that's on them.
"If they want to bring like a bottle or something after they can, but I'll put on all the Champagne through dinner".
'I don't see the big deal'
Ms Bellucci said she felt charging was the better option.
"When you go for Christmas dinner you always bring something anyway... wine, sometimes a dessert," she said.
"So, really, I thought this ain't no different; I'm just charging rather than saying, 'Bring a dessert, bring a bottle of Champagne'.
"I don't really see the big deal, but clearly the whole world does".
Ms Bellucci said her family is not surprised by her decision.
"They know it's me, if they want to come, they come", she said.
"They just know what I'm like, they just take me for who I am - they're not surprised".
She said she was surprised how something so simple has gone so viral.
