Former RTÉ broadcaster Charlie Bird will lead a walk in aid of Samaritans in Avondale Forest Park, Wicklow, on Sunday.
Beginning at 11am, Mr Bird will lead a five-kilometre Hand of Friendship walk to raise funds for the Samaritans.
Walks are also taking place in Roscommon's Lough Key Forest Park, Curraghbinny Wood's in Cork and at Ard na Gaoithe on the Galway-Mayo border.
A commemorative tree will be planted at each of the locations and a special message from Bird will be played.
Mr Bird was diagnosed with Motor Neurone disease in 2022. Following his diagnosis, he launched the 'Climb For Charlie' campaign. His climb to the summit of Croagh Park raised €3 million for the Motor Neurone Disease Association and Pieta.
People also took part in almost two hundred other fundraisers across Ireland, Europe, the US, Australia and South Africa.
Announcing the walk on Twitter, Mr Bird said: “I have promised while I can I am going to continue helping to raise awareness and extend the hand of friendship.”
I have promised while I can I am going to continue helping to raise awareness and extend the hand of friendship. Pieta are close to my heart, but I also want to raise awareness for Samaritan volunteers all over the country as well. Yes I am struggling but I am not giving up. pic.twitter.com/TUslCdKFtd

In a video with his dog Tiger, Mr Bird said he wants to highlight the work the Samaritans do “all over the country”.
“They're there to listen to people who might be in a dark place. And really importantly, they do so without passing judgment,” he said.
Friends have told Mr Bird that they know many people who reached out to the Samaritans – and their “friendly listening helped changed the direction of their lives”.
