Charlotte Church has accepted a substantial amount from The People newspaper after the singer brought it before the High Court on a libel case.

The tabloid newspaper  said it was sorry for printing an untrue story about the 26 year-old and her boyfriend.

The Mirror Group Newspapers has also apologised for the hurt and damage she suffered as a result of the untrue story.
