Cheryl Cole is taking on the X Factor – by signing up to Strictly Come Dancing.

The former talent show judge is set to sing on the rival dancing show in support of Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley Walsh.

But Cheryl is obviously hedging her bets – she’ll briefly be seen on this weekend’s X Factor, helping out Gary Barlow.

She will assist the Take That man as he mentors the over-28s category.
