A couple accused of child cruelty have been further remanded in custody pending possible further charges against them.
It comes after their nine-year-old daughter was found with serious injuries in North Dublin last month.
The young girl was brought to hospital on the night of July 2nd - after she was found with serious injuries at a home in North Dublin.
Her parents appeared before Dublin District Court on Friday last.
Her 35-year-old mother was charged with two counts of child cruelty, while her 37-year-old father was charged with one count of child cruelty.
The couple appeared before Dublin District Court this afternoon where an application was made to further remand the pair in custody for a period of one week - which was consented to by the defence.
The couple sat together in court and the woman was visibly upset.
Detective Sergeant Eoin McDonnell told the court they may face possible further charges.
The pair are due to appear in court again on August 21st.
