A young boy has been hospitalised following an incident involving two children at a North Dublin primary school. 

The child’s injuries are described as non-life threatening but Gardaí were called to the school to liaise with parents and staff. 

Both children attend the school together.

Officers are now investigating exactly how the boy was hurt and are in touch with both children’s parents.

They said they have no concerns about public safety.
