Two men have appeared in court in the North, charged in relation to the murder of Chloe Mitchell.

The 21-year-old was last seen on CCTV in Ballymena in the early hours of Saturday June 3rd.

Brandon John Rainey (26), of James Street in Ballymena, appeared at Ballymena Magistrates’ Court today charged with her murder.

He was remanded in custody until July 6th.

Also in  court was Ryan Johnston Gordon (34) from Nursery Close in Ballymena.

He was charged with attempting to conceal evidence, and will also remain in custody.

Police and community rescue teams stood down searches on Sunday, after suspected human remains were found.
