With his new movie In The Heart Of The Sea due to reach Irish shores on December 26th, occasional hammer-wielder Chris Hemsworth took to the internet to start the publicity campaign.

While we're all used to the super-buff Australian looking about as healthy as a man can get, his new movie forced him to take on a 500-calorie a day diet, which caused the actor to end up looking very slimmed down.

With the movie involving the true story that Moby Dick was based on, telling the tale of several fishermen who were relentlessly pursued by a giant sperm whale, Hemsworth will soon be bulking back up as his superhero threequel Thor: Ragnarok is due to commence filming pretty soon.

Elsewhere in his Twitter Q&A, Hemsworth played fast, loose and funny with his answers, telling people he'd be #TeamPeeta (his brother Liam plays love-rival Gale in The Hunger Games series) and revealing Donatello as his favourite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.
