Sonairte, the Laytown based Ecology Centre will hold three Christmas markets this year on Sunday December 2nd, Sunday 9th and Sunday 16th. The markets have free admission and are a good opportunity to buy some crafts or environmentally friendly items which make great presents which don't cost the Earth. There is always a great atmosphere at the markets which are ideal for a family day out and they are open from 10.30am-4pm.
A wide selection of stallholders offer a huge variety of goods including handcrafts, jewellery, chutneys, jams, bread, knitwear, christmas cakes, christmas decorations and plants and much more. Santa will be making an appearance on Sunday 16th December along with festive music.
The Sonairte Ecoshop will be open with a unique range of Christmas gifts and stocking fillers not to mention its selection of everyday essentials, all sourced responsibly. The newly reopened Sunflower cafe will also be open with delicious home made soups, lunches and mouth watering desserts and cakes. Visitors are also welcome to explore the extensive organic gardens, walk along the nature trail and see what they can spot from the bird hide.
