This year, hundreds of children will spend Christmas in Children’s Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres instead of being at home causing mischief and cheer in equal measures.
That's why Children's Health Foundation wants you and your company to make their wish come true this year by helping get sick children back to being children this festive season.
Children's Health Foundation raises vital funds to support sick children and their families in Children's Health Ireland (CHI) hospitals and urgent care centres at Crumlin, Temple Street, Tallaght and Connolly.
By donating, companies will support the lifesaving work in Children’s Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres and help children home this festive season.
Christmas Wishes
In 2020, money raised by Children's Health Foundation made an immeasurable difference to the lives of sick children and their families in Ireland. Some of the highlights include:
- €2.34m invested in upgrading and replacing essential equipment
- €9.08m total invested in Children's Health Ireland hospitals, urgent care centres and research
- €931k invested in patient and parental support
The Christmas Wishes campaign allows businesses to purchase wishes ranging from €1000 to €10,000 and above. Each wish will help a different aspect of children's healthcare and wellbeing in Children's Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres.
There are four types of wishes –
- Kind wish (€1,000) - could help fund a vital medical scope for Children’s Health Ireland Outpatient Departments.
- Caring wish (€2,500) - this could help support wellbeing initiatives for our healthcare heroes in Children’s Health Ireland hospitals and urgent care centres.
- Generous wish (€5,000) - this could help fund vital equipment, such as a cardiac monitor which will help the Cardiac Team continue to keep little hearts beating.
- Compassionate wish (€10,000) - this could help support vital research which helps find cures and safer treatment for childhood cancers.
From wellbeing initiatives to vital research and equipment, every donation will go towards helping children get back to being children.
Those who give donations will be featured in a Sunday Times full page ad on the 18th December, as well as on the Children's Health Foundation website.
Supporters will also be given graphics to use for their own social media and email signatures, as well as posters for their office. Top donors who give €10,000 or more will also receive a social media post.
