The Cobh couple who died in tragic circumstances last weekend will be buried together, although will have separate funerals.

Valerie Greaney and her husband Michael will be buried on Friday, after separate private masses.

The couple died last Sunday, in what appears to have been a murder-suicide, in which Michael stabbed Valerie and the couple's eldest daughter, Michelle.

Valerie will be reposing at Cork Hospital Mortuary on Thursday evening. On Friday morning her funeral mass will take palce in St Colman's Cathedral, Cobh.

A rosary will take place for Michael on Friday evening, in Cork Hospital Mortuary. 

The funeral mass and burial are strictly private.

The family homes is strictly private with any donations going to the suicide support group - Breaking The Silence in Cobh.
