Cocaine and cannabis worth around €100,000 has been seized in County Tipperary.

Gardaí said they arrested a man and a woman in their 20s after the drugs were uncovered at a house in Lagganstown shortly before 10am this morning.

During the searches, investigators found a large quantity of cannabis and a smaller amount of cocaine in a car on the grounds of the property.

Around €2,250 in cash was also seized along with a number of pieces of drug paraphernalia.

The searches were carried out as part of Operation Overwatch.

A woman in her 20s was arrested at the scene and is being held at Thurles Garda Station.

A man in his 20s was arrested at a different location later in the day. He is also being held at Thurles.
