Prosecutors in the US have charged Colorado shooting suspect James Holmes with 24 counts of murder and 116 counts of attempted murder.
The 24-year-old was charged after 12 people were shot dead at a Batman screening in the state 10 days ago.
It is one of the worst mass shootings in US history.
58 move-goers were also wounded after a gunman burst into the sold-out midnight viewing and began shooting people at random.
Prosecutors have said it will be several weeks before a decision is made on whether or not to seek the death penalty.
Only one person has been executed in Colorado since capital punishment was reinstated in 1976.
