For a nation that is supposedly very good at communicating and talking, the one thing the Irish are very bad at is complaining.

Financial expert and host of the Complaints Bureau Eoin McGee told The Anton Savage Show that while the majority of the population aren't great complainers, certain individuals more than make up for it.

"I think there's pockets of people, or small numbers of people, who are almost professionals at [complaining] - they're really good at it," he said.

"My father actually was one of these really good complainers; and what I would describe as a good complainer is somebody who puts on a cross in such a way that, 'I'm helping you as a business' - and I actually think that's the right way to do it.

"A good business will take a complaint as a real chance to learn and to understand, how can we make things better?"

Mr McGee said that in his experience as a business owner, complaints are much more useful than compliments.
