The Garda Ombudsman has received more than 70 complaints about the way officers are enforcing COVID-19 restrictions.
Around one-third of the complaints allege gardaí were not observing social-distancing rules, or weren't wearing gloves or masks.
There were also complaints about officers being rude or abrupt at checkpoints.
Meanwhile, some complaints relate to people being told to go home after they went further than 2km to go to the shops.
The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) said it was sharing the complaints in order to alert members to some of the concerns coming from the public.
It said it will allow Garda management to address issues as they arise.
