A body has been recovered from the water off Sheep's Head in west Cork. A spokesperson for Valentia coastguard says the body has not been identified.
Two men aged in their 30s from The Netherlands went walking in bad weather conditions on Saturday and have not been heard from since.
Searches are continuing in the area for a second person.
The last contact with the men was made on Saturday afternoon, when one of them called his Mother to tell her they were planning to walk to the lighthouse in bad weather.
Searches resumed this morning for the two Dutch nationals, who were last heard from at 1:30pm on Saturday.
Coast Guard, garda and RNLI units are searching the sea and shoreline around Sheep's Head while the Coast Guard helicopter is supporting their efforts.
The two men were believed to be staying at a holiday home belonging to one of their mothers on the Peninsula.
They told her on Saturday that they were planning to go for a walk out to the Peninsula lighthouse in stormy weather.
