Conor McGregor has announced his retirement from Mixed Martial Arts.
The 30-year-old Dubliner said this morning that he wishes his "old colleagues well going forward in competition".
Hey guys quick announcement, I’ve decided to retire from the sport formally known as “Mixed Martial Art” today.
I wish all my old colleagues well going forward in competition.
I now join my former partners on this venture, already in retirement.

It's not the first time he's announced his retirement, however.
In 2016 he tweeted that he was retiring from the sport, but has fought three times since.
I have decided to retire young.
Thanks for the cheese.

Conor McGregor is one of the world's wealthiest athletes, with Forbes last year estimating he earned $99 million.
His last fight was in October 2018, when he lost against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The Irish fighter received a six-month suspension and a $50,000 fine in connection with a brawl that broke out after that fight, although Nurmagomedov received a heavier fine and suspension for his role.
Speaking to Jimmy Fallon a few days ago, McGregor suggested he was in talks for a fight in July.
He told the talk show host: "I am in shape, and I am ready.
"I don't necessarily need to fight - I am set for life, my family is set for life... but I am eager to fight."
McGregor's latest announcement comes a fortnight after he was arrested in Miami for allegedly smashing a fan's phone.
