This report contains details of a sexual nature that some readers may find distressing.
Conor McGregor has accused a woman who is suing him over an alleged rape in a Dublin hotel of being “full of lies”.
The MMA fighter took the stand today in a civil legal action taken against him, and another man, by 35-year-old hair colourist, Nikita Hand.
After some contact over Instagram, Conor McGregor told the jury he collected Nikita Hand and another girl from a salon where she worked on the morning of December 9th 2018.
They had been out all night.
He said they collected his friend, the second named defendant, James Lawrence, and went to the Beacon Hotel where he claimed he and Ms Hand got closer.
He claimed she followed him into the bathroom at one point where they started kissing before having consensual sex on the bed.
He described the sex as “enthusiastic and athletic" and said they later had consensual sex for a second time.
Under cross-examination, he accused Ms Hand of being “full of lies”.
“Everything is a lie," he said.
He said the sex was physical, but not rough in any way – “fully consensual, all fun, all friendly, and all energetic,” he added.
