Conor McGregor is set to star in his first major studio movie.
The UFC star will join Jake Gyllenhaal in Prime Video’s reimagining of the classic 80s movie ‘Road House’.
‘The Bourne Identity’ director Doug Liman is at the helm of a project that also stars Billy Magnussen and Daniela Melchior.
Deadline reports that the new take follows a former UFC fighter - played by Gyllenhaal – who take a job as a bouncer at a boisterous roadhouse in Florida.
The paper said it is not clear who McGregor will be playing; however, he will not be starring as himself.
The movie is due to go into production in the Dominican Republic this month.
It will stream on Prime Video in more than 240 countries on its release.
