The UK's public broadcaster has faced demands to pull the programme after it emerged that an undercover reporter used a group of students from London School of Economics as cover in order to enter North Korea. However, the show will air as planned.
Three students have objected to the show's airing, and several will have their faces blurred or pixellated during the broadcast.
Speaking to BBC Radio, Sir Peter Sutherland of LSE said "I am amazed that the case is being made that in some way these students, misled, going into a most dangerous place – perhaps the most dangerous place on Earth – should be forced to allow a programme to take place that they oppose,"
The BBC maintain the students were not at risk and were kept informed of the journalist's presence and intentions.
The Panorama documentary on life within the rarely seen country will be shown on BBC1 at 8:30 pm.
