A stage show is to be written about one of the country's most famous night clubs.

'Copper Face Jacks: The Opera' will be a 'Culchie versus Dubs' themed show, according to producer Darren Smith.

Smith is also the man behind 'Anglo: The Musical'.

It is understood it will be scripted by 'Ross O'Carroll-Kelly' creator Paul Howard.

Darren Smith says the opera will be a mixture of puppets and people.
