A father and son have appeared in court, charged with assaulting two family members.
Bantry District Court was told that the feud had been ongoing for 14 years and was related to a will and family property in Cork.
Seventy-seven-year-old Jerry Brennan Senior and his 31-year-old son William -both of whom have addresses at Long Bridge in Dunmanway, Cork - were charged in relation to an incident on Saturday night.
William Brennan is charged with assault causing harm to his older brothers, John and Jerry Junior, as well as with producing a hunting knife in a manner likely to intimidate.
William Brennan denied the charge of assault and insisted he was acting in self-defence.
The court was informed that both victims in the case were taken to hospital and required surgery.

Responding to the charges, he said he didn’t know why he was being charged.
Bail was denied and both men are due to appear in court again next Thursday.
