A man has been arrested in Cork in connection with multiple incidents last night, including a hit-and-run. 

Gardaí are investigating criminal damage to a property in the Shanakiel area of Cork at roughly 5.40pm. 

They are also investigating a crash between a motorcycle and a pedestrian at 6.10pm on Churchfield Road. 

The pedestrian was brought to Cork University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. 

The motorcyclist and pillion passenger failed to remain at the scene. 

A firearm was later seized and a man in his 20s was arrested afterwards by Gardaí. 

Gardaí are appealing to anyone with information in relation to these incidents or road users with video footage to contact them.
