/> The 25-year-old Cork man who died in a kayaking accident in Norway will be buried on Monday.

Colm Johnson’s body has been returned to Ireland – he’s to lie in repose at this Bandon home today.

Colm Johnson from Bandon in Co. Cork was kayaking with four Irish friends in Norway, when he got into difficulty after going over a difficult drop at the Ridderspranget ravine on the Sjoa river.

His friends went to his aid – but conditions were too difficult, and he died at the scene.

His body was recovered from the water by rescue services.

His remains will be lying in repose at his home from midday today.

Tomorrow, he’ll be buried a week after the accident happened.

He’ll be mourned by his parents Ann and Moss, his brother Alan and his sisters Niamh and Sile.

His girlfriend Elaine will be among the chief mourners at his Requiem Mass in St. Patrick’s Church, Bandon.

Colm’s family have asked that donations be made, in lieu of flowers, to the Bandon Branch of St. Vincent de Paul.
