A number of streets along the River Lee in Cork City Centre are starting to flood this evening.
Cork City Council has closed a number of streets to traffic ahead of high spring tides due this evening and tomorrow morning.

Parking has also been banned at several locations near the river until 7am tomorrow at the earliest.
In a statement, the council said there is a “significant risk of flooding in the city” with high tides due at 5:13pm this evening and 05:34am tomorrow morning.

Don't forget commuters-Wandesford Quay, Sth Terrace, Kyrls Quay & Lavitts Quay will be shut to traffic from 4pm-6.30pm today, Tues'.High tides are @ 5.13pm this eve' & 5.34 moro morn'.

It has warned householders and businesses to “take precautionary measures to protect property,” with a limited number of gel-bags and sand-bags available for those who need them.
