A Corkman (21) has been remanded in custody in London after a court appearance relating to the death of a father of four from Kerry in an alleged hit and run.
The man was arrested by British police at Heathrow Airport yesterday after a request from gardaí investigating the death of Paudie O'Leary from Gneeveguilla.
Mr. O'Leary was found dead in a ditch after he was hit by a vehicle in July 2012 while out cycling near his home.
It's understood gardaí have forwarded a European Arrest Warrant to Scotland Yard in order to have the suspect extradited.
The man was remanded in custody in London until February 19th after appearing in relation to the extradition application.
