There have been 1,706 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Ireland today.
Today's case numbers bring the five-day moving average of new cases to 1,899.
As of this morning, there were 347 COVID-19 patients in Irish hospitals - up from 324 yesterday.
There are 60 patients in ICU, a decrease of one patient compared to yesterday.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan yesterday warned that COVID-19 transmission levels are still "simply too high" in Ireland.
He urged people to continue to follow the public health advice, and for anyone who hadn't received a vaccine so far to come forward.
He also said it's "not too late" for people who missed an appointment to get their second dose.
