There have been 206 new cases of coronavirus confirmed in the Republic.

Seven further deaths have also been reported.

Of today's new cases, 64 were in Dublin, 23 in Limerick, 20 in Donegal, 18 in Cork, 14 in Louth, 14 in Meath, and the remaining 53 cases in 18 counties.

Today's new case number is the lowest since September 21st.

The national 14-day incidence rate has now fallen below 100, with the current rate at 98 per 100,000.

There are currently 248 COVID-19 patients being treated in Irish hospitals, including 35 in intensive care.

The figures come as the Government is set to announce a three-stage easing of restrictions for December.
