There have been 18 additional deaths related to COVID-19 and 358 new cases of the virus in Ireland.
The Health Protection Surveillance Centre (HPSC) says of the deaths reported today, seven were in April, and there were three each in March, February and January.
One death was reported as occurring before January, while there is one other death where the date is under investigation.
The median age of those who died was 85 years, and the age range was between 46 to 102 years.
Of the cases notified today:
- 163 are men / 192 are women
- 73% are under 45 years of age
- The median age is 31 years old
There are 166 cases in Dublin, 39 in Donegal, 16 in Kildare, 13 in Offaly, 12 in Meath and 12 in Limerick.
The remaining 100 cases are spread across 18 other counties.
There has been a total of 4,803 COVID-19 related deaths and 241,684 confirmed cases here.
These figures include the denotification of four confirmed cases.
As of 8.00am today, 205 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised - of which 48 are in ICU.
There have been 11 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.
The five-day moving average now stand at 396As of April 11th 2021, 1,063,666 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered.
This breaks down as 749,450 people have received their first dose, and 314,216 people have got their second dose.
It comes as the Health Service Executive (HSE) says almost all vaccine clinics using AstraZeneca have been cancelled for the remainder of this week.
However those arranged for certain people over the age of 60 will still go ahead.
Anybody who is due to attend an AstraZeneca clinic, and who is not contacted directly in advance, is advised not to attend.
The HSE adds it will be in contact with patients in due course to re-arrange their appointment at a later date.
It follows advice from the National Immunisation Advisory Committee (NIAC) on Monday that the AstraZeneca drug should not be offered to people aged under 60.
