This includes the denotification of four confirmed cases.

Of the cases notified today:

  • 324 are men / 359 are women
  • 75% are under 45 years of age
  • The median age is 32 years old

There are 308 cases in Dublin, 68 in Donegal, 49 in Kildare, 35 in Meath and 30 in Offaly.

The remaining 193 cases are spread across 21 other counties.

As of 8am today, 329 COVID-19 patients are hospitalised - of which 76 are in ICU.

There have been 18 additional hospitalisations in the past 24 hours.

In vaccination, as of March 21st, 680,015 doses have been administered.

This translates as 495,824 people who have received their first dose, and 184,191 who have received their second.

Meanwhile the Government has revealed locations of five walk-in COVID-19 testing centres.

The pop-up centres are opening in locations in Dublin and Offaly - two counties where new cases of coronavirus have remained stubbornly high.

The aim of the centres is to try to get a feel for how and why COVID-19 is spreading faster in certain areas.

The centres will open on Thursday from 11.00am until 7.00pm and remain open for a week.
