Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn said the country’s recovery rate is currently at 92%.

He said: “This and other indicators such as the reproductive number, hospital admissions and ICU admissions are stable or moving in the right direction.

“This is good news that has been achieved through the collective efforts of every person who has followed public health advice.”

Earlier, the Health Minister said the reproductive rate of the coronavirus is now estimated to be at 0.7.

Simon Harris said it's “good news” that the rate remains below one as the re-opening of the economy continues.

NPHET will meet again tomorrow to continue to review the plan to reopen the country.
