Kildare County Councillor Darren Scully is to be taken back into the Fine Gael fold one year and 8 months after his expulsion.
He caused a storm of controversy in November 2011 when he said that he would no longer make representations of behalf of black Africans.
The remarks lead to his resignation within 24 hours as Naas Mayor and four months later his expulsion from Fine Gael.
But in an interview with KFM this morning, Councillor Scully says he has learned a lot over the past year.
While the General-Secretary of Fine Gael Tom Curran confirmed the readmission of Councillor Scully to the party to KFM.
