Counterfeit cigarettes and DVDs have been seized by Gardaí in Dublin. 

The discovery was made at the Balbriggan Sunday Market.

6,600 counterfeit cigarettes and a quantity of counterfeit DVD's were recovered - but no arrests were made. 

During the past year, Gardaí have seized in excess of 60,000 contraband cigarettes, 12,000 counterfeit DVD's and CD's as well as items of clothing and cosmetics - resulting in 10 arrests and prosecutions.
