Counterfeit clothes worth €500,000 have been found in County Louth.

It follows the search of a house on Bridge Street in Ardee, yesterday afternoon under a Section 25 warrant of the Trades Mark Act, 1996.

A 'substantial amount' of boxed containers with clothing were seized, with brands found including Adidas, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss and Ralph Lauren,

Documentation and a large amount of packaging for the resale of the clothes was also seized.

No arrests were made during the search operation.

Gardaí say their investigations are ongoing.
