British police have recovered counterfeit euros worth more than €2.5m.

Officers investigating a multi-million pound jewellery fraud stopped four men at a hotel in Manchester city centre yesterday afternoon.

The men were found in possession of the fake money, as well as more than €120,000 worth of high value watches.

They were arrested on suspicion of fraud.
