Gardai in Dublin are questioning three men aged in their 40s in connection with dissident republican activity.
The men aged 42, 44 and 47 were detained at the North Circular Road yesterday. Gardai say these are on-going operations to counter the activities of dissident republican groups.
A large sum of counterfeit money was recovered, along with a range of printing equipment and computers when four houses in the north Dublin area were searched along with a commercial premises in Co. Meath.
The Special Detective Unit, in conjunction with other Garda national units attached to the Crime and Security Branch, took part in the operation.
The men are being questioned at the Bridewell and Mountjoy garda stations.
